WHO IS NICK ARELLANO?

After spending over a decade advising small business owners, Nick left Morgan Stanley to further pursue his interest of working more directly with small businesses. He then spent 4 years working in private equity while getting his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. During this time, he analyzed hundreds of small businesses for potential acquisition. 

Working along-side many highly experienced investors and entrepreneurs, Nick gained a deep understanding of how buyers view an acquisition target. From what traits were most attractive, to how they approached valuation, and generating operating plans post acquisition to drive value in the future. It was then, that Nick was approached by a couple former contacts asking for his insight to help them prepare, value and sell their business. After seeing and hearing how helpful the insights were, Nick realized that starting his own firm to do the same for others is where his passion was. 
Nick grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, MN amongst a number of blue-collar baby boomers who, although many didn’t have advanced college degrees, were extremely hard-working entrepreneurs that found a niche they could build a successful business around. Now, most of these people are starting to think about retirement and the eventual monetization of the businesses they have built, but have almost no knowledge or experience for how to approach that. These hard-working business owners are the people he grew up amongst and are now the people he is most passionate about helping.
